Homeopathy helps with Postpartum issues

The time after a baby is born can be quite magical yet difficult all the same. There are so many biological changes that take place after a baby is born – hormonal, body pains, exhaustion, nursing difficulties and mood swings. These difficulties are by no means easy to treat but Homeopathy can offer hope for women suffering from postpartum issues in a natural and effective way.

Sepia: this remedy is perfect for the exhausted mother who is overwhelmed and desires solitude. She feels better with exercise. Is easily annoyed by her family and can seem irritable, impatient and indifferent. Internal organs feel prolapsed. Overall physical stasis. Chilly. Hungry.

Pulsatilla: a good remedy for the sensitive mother. She is often tearful, mild and shy. The patient wants to hear that they are loved otherwise they feel abandoned. She wants to be cuddled and can have many fears. Craves rich foods and is better open air. The patient suffers with congestion. The symptoms of this patient are changeable.

Phytolacca is helpful in treating mastitis (breasts feel hard, sore, swollen). It’s handy for nursing difficulties, painful or cracking nipples. There is indifference to those around them because the patient is in pain. This remedy has a healing affect on glands that feel hard and achy. Pain comes and goes and can change places. Worse night and cold weather.

Caulophyllum: for the patient who has erratic and wandering pains. Pains feel unbearable with nausea and vomiting. Patient is chilly, hungry and thirsty. There is a feeling of weakness and exhaustion after birth.

These are great remedies to have in your toolbox for a speedy recovery after birth and nursing difficulties.
