FACULTY

OCHM has attracted Internationally-renowned Homeopathic Doctors and Medical Professionals as faculty members. These acclaimed professors encourage our students to explore thought provoking questions about health problems and then apply answers to the situations.  We teach our students how to think critically in order to treat patients effectively.

Avid scholars, practitioners and consultants, OCHM’s professors are some of the world’s most distinguished homeopaths. They are challenging and provocative and they believe that what students have to say really matters.  This makes them above all passionate instructors – always looking to broaden their knowledge and subsequently pass on what they know to our students.

Our faculty members have earned their degrees and accreditations from prominent colleges and universities around the world. Through their successful collaboration with the OCHM, both the student body and the administration have become successful academic associates with the faculty. These relationships have allowed OCHM to offer the best possible curriculum available and for that, we are honoured.

We are also blessed to be able to host Internationally renowned guest lecturers.  These special appearances are so inspirational to our students and give them a breadth of knowledge that simply cannot be found elsewhere.

Some of the Homeopaths that have graced our school include: Rajan Sankaran, Divya Chhabra, Sujit Chatterjee, Linda Johnson, Massimo Mangialavori, Louis Klein, Farokh Master, Alize Timmermann, Frans Vermeulen and Kim Elia.

Concepts such as treating the whole patient, importance of prevention of diseases and believing in the healing power of nature were reinforced from a young age and have only strengthened with time and application.

Her special interest is in treating children suffering from neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD. She combines homeopathic medicine with advice on nutrition and lifestyle for this very special group of patients, believing in the integrated model of healing, where each holistic modality has its own place at the right time and classical homeopathy plays a central role.

Another one of Inna’s interests is  treatment of stress-related problems, both physical and emotional, which is called “The plague of the 21st century” by many doctors.

A chemist and bio-chemist by training, Inna applies hair mineral analysis as a diagnostic tool for adrenal and thyroid function, as well as the hormonal and metabolic status of the patient. This is to evaluate the current stage of stress experienced by her patients and to monitor their progress through the healing process.

Inna willingly shares her knowledge with colleagues and patients, educating those who want to know more about homeopathy, wellness and a healthy life-style. She deeply believes that people educated about health issues will make better decisions for themselves and their children, resulting in a healthier and happier family life.

Julek Meissner

HOM, ND (retired)

I have been practicing holistic health care for over 35 years, having graduated in 1983 from the National University of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I have studied extensively with Rajan Sankaran, Jeremy Sherr and Alize Timmerman, and to a lesser extent with Jan Scholten and George Vithoulkas. My studies continue.

Witnessing the wonders of the body’s self-healing ability and how harnessing this power through holistic health care methods like homeopathic medicine is what inspires me most as a natural health care practitioner. I am happy to say that after all these years in practice, I feel as passionate about my work today as I did when I first began my career.

Behind every person who comes to see me in search of healing is a mystery, with clues as to what the body needs to enhance well-being. I love listening and creatively piecing together seemingly unrelated elements in order to help my patients see new linkages in body-mind-spirit connections, shedding light on old dysfunctional habits that have led to dis-ease, facilitating a person’s healing and evolution in a holistic way.

A holistic approach not only takes the whole person into consideration, but arrives at a treatment plan tailored to that individual. Whatever your condition, it’s what makes you unique, how you differ from others with the same condition that gives me clues as to what you need to promote self-healing.

Pat Deacon

RSHom, HMC

I fell in love with Homeopathy in 1981 when my husband and I took our oldest child to see Louis Klein in Vancouver, B.C. for treatment.  We knew nothing about Homeopathy, but we saw it as our last chance, having tried everything else.

The consulting process and the perspective on health and disease – not to mention the results- impressed me deeply. When I purchased some books and began reading Kent, my love for this Art and Science grew further.

We eventually made our way to England, where I studied professionally at Purton House School of Homeopathy. I practiced in Saffron Walden and Cambridge for several years. I also registered with the Society of Homeopaths in 1998, of which I am still an overseas member. Finally, we returned to Canada in 1999, where I graduated from Louis Klein’s post-grad Homeopathic Master Practitioner programme and practiced and taught homeopathy in several provinces.

We moved to Ontario in 2009 – to Ottawa and, later, to the village of Vankleek Hill.  During that time, I was a registered member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, the provincial regulatory body.

COVID and the distance from our family drew us back to Penticton, B.C., where I now live with my husband and two cats.  I practice, teach, mentor, and supervise students on Zoom.

I continually study homeopathy and I regularly attend seminars and webinars with many wonderful teachers. Important influences on my homeopathic understanding and education are Louis Klein, Jan Scholten, Ulrich Welte, Michal Yakir, Deborah Collins, Markus Kuntosch, Peter Tumminello, and Jonathan Hardy.

My love for homeopathy has only grown over the years. Yet, I continue to be impressed and astonished at its largely unseen and unrecognized potential for dramatically changing peoples’ lives.
