ADMISSIONS

OCHM seeks students whose academic ability and commitment to excellence promise achievement in the field of Homeopathic Medicine as well as future success in their careers.

OCHM is looking for candidates with strong academic backgrounds and compelling reasons for pursuing the study of Homeopathic Medicine.

Applicants applying to the Intensive Diploma Program must have their Ontario Secondary School Diploma with the equivalent of OACs in Biology and Chemistry, and at least 2 or 3 years of post-secondary education from a college or university. A Bachelor’s degree is strongly recommended. Those students who do not have the above requirements may apply under the “Special Student” status (contact the office for details).

Applicants must have a warm and compassionate nature as being a homeopath requires human connection and understanding as well as a desire to heal. A career in homeopathy is one of life-long learning and as such, is especially suited to the curious and those who are driven to be continuously evolving.

Advanced Standing

Those students (including those with prior experience in Health Care Professions) who wish to be exempt from certain subjects at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine must produce transcripts and an outline of course(s) from their previous accredited educational institutions verifying their request. If this is not available, the student may be asked to take a challenge exam to indicate previous training and experience.

Interviews

We encourage all students to come in to OCHM for an informal interview at some point during the application process. It is beneficial for the student to get a feel for the environment of our school, and essential for the Principal and Head of Homeopathy to get to know you, your prior experience, answer your questions, and review your transcripts.

Application Deadline

There are three entry points for the start of the Intensive Diploma Program – September, January, and April. In all cases, students need to apply in enough time to have completed their prerequisite program before they start the in-class component of the Diploma course. For that reason, it is recommended that you contact us and start the application process no less than two months before your desired start time.

The Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine is dedicated to providing all students with equal opportunities as well a safe and respectful environment to learn and enjoy all aspects of student life at the college.
We look forward to receiving your application and seeing you in person. The application form may be submitted or printed online.

Along with your application form, please send us the following information to info@ochm.ca :
1. A resume of experience
2. Two letters of reference; one professional and one personal
3. Transcripts from your previous educational institution(s)
