Australia is on fire with the worst bushfire season the country has seen in decades. More than 20 people have perished as well as hundreds of thousands of animals, more than 1,500 homes have burned and more than 5 million hectares of land has been destroyed. Thousands of firefighters, including firefighters from around the globe have been struggling to keep the fires under control for months. With the persistent heat and drought, the flames keep burning…longer, larger and are harder to contain.
Australia is in a state of emergency.
