Alumnus Spotlight: Dr. Alisia Young
Dr. Young became inspired to become a health practitioner after experiencing heartache as she witnessed the pain that chronic disease had on close family members, and being in the difficult position of wanting to assist, but not knowing how. She became a Naturopathic Doctor because she believes in gentle treatment, which is tailored to your lifestyle and goals.
She achieved her Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences from OCHM – non-invasive, safe, and gentle approaches to treating acute and chronic, long-standing health concerns
In addition to supporting general wellness and seasonal care, Dr. Young’s areas of focus include guiding patients to achieve healthy weight (fat) loss, and mood regulation. Conditions she focuses on treating include diabetes (and conditions involving blood sugar dysregulation) and cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Young sees patients in the Durham Region – both at her private practice in Pickering Village (Ajax), and at the pt Health Oshawa Physio and Rehab clinic in Oshawa.
