Lac Remedies in Homeopathy: From Themes to Clinical Mastery
Mammals and milk remedies are such a significant part of homeopathic practice – or at least they should be. Since the pioneering work of Nancy Herrick and others in the 1990s, Lac remedies and mammal-based remedies have grown from a relatively small group into a rich and expansive area of study within our materia medica.
This evolution reflects their deep clinical relevance. These remedies carry important affinities for a wide range of conditions, including infertility, childhood attachment and trauma, chronic fatigue, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and many other physical and emotional presentations. And yet, despite their importance, they often remain underrepresented in the literature and can be challenging to fully grasp or differentiate in practice.
In this full-day seminar, Joy Burlton will bring clarity and structure to this important group of remedies. Together, we will explore the core themes of Lac remedies and the mammal kingdom, followed by a closer look at subgroups such as canids, felidae, and others. From there, we will move into individual remedy pictures, using a thematic and clinically grounded approach that helps these remedies become easier to recognize, remember, and apply.
Rather than relying on isolated keynotes, this seminar emphasizes understanding, so that even lesser-known remedies can be confidently identified through their group characteristics and distinguishing features. We will also explore comparisons between commonly confused remedies, offering practical tools to support more accurate differentiation in clinical practice.
Drawing from clinical cases, accumulated experience, and insights from a range of sources, this seminar is designed to crystallize your understanding of Lac remedies and support their integration into everyday practice with greater confidence and ease.
