Leave your Sinus Problems behind!

Sinus problems can be the result of an infection or repeated infections. They can also result from allergic reactions. Sometimes, the sinus problem can pass without any difficulty, other times, sinus issues can become chronic and last for a long time creating great discomfort. Here are some great homeopathic remedies to think about when sinus problems arise (of course, you should always seek the advice of a licensed Homeopath or other healthcare provider if your problem requires attention).

Kali bich: this is the most common remedy for sinus problems. The discharge is sticky and yellow and stringy and very difficult to expel. Sinuses feel obstructed and full. Post nasal drip. Better pressure on the head.

Puls: In this situation, the patient has a stuffed-up nose and tend to lose their sense of smell and taste. There is thick yellow/green discharge and the throat and mouth are dry. Head pain better pressure. Fresh air ameliorates.

Merc: Thick yellow/green acrid mucous is present. The face feels swollen and painful, often with tearing pains. There is a characteristic metallic taste in the mouth with bad breath. Sinuses feel raw and painful. Great thirst.

Phos: alternates between being stuffed up and fluid nasal discharges. Discharge may contain fresh blood. Pressure headache. Great thirst.

Sil: infection causes crusting on the nose. When you remove the crusts, there is bleeding and it’s sore. Nose feels dry yet there is white frothy mucus.

Hep-sulph: discharge with feeling that one needs to constantly blow the nose. Discharge is thick yellow/green and may smell bad. Nose itches. Worse cold.
