If one is open and willing, life has a way of teaching us many things including patience
As this work week comes to an end, here’s to hoping everyone has a beautiful weekend ahead.
.
Today, I was thinking about my time in Homeopathic College. By the end of my formal studies (homeopathic education never really ends, it is a life-long learning journey) I thought that I had acquired “super powers” and that I would be able to “save” the world. I’m not sure what I thought I’d “save” the world from…perhaps itself. Everyone I’d meet was seemingly struggling with a health issue and I would think “there’s a remedy for that…you can be helped”! .
.
As the years passed, I “grew up” (and growing up is hard), and I have come to accept that I can’t really save the world after after all. Looking back, that idea came from a place of ego, I would say. This was a tough pill to swallow for a young Homeopath. If one is open and willing, life has a way of teaching us many things including patience, surrender, acceptance and understanding.
.
Here’s to hoping that we can get on with life gracefully, with patience and understanding to help others when we are called and to know our limits.
