Homeopathic Fungi and Drug Remedies

Join us for a lecture on Homeopathic Fungi Remedies: achieve CE credits and learn how to identify the patient needing one of the fascinating remedies that will be examined in this lecture.

The mysterious world of the fungi exists above, and underground, hidden from view, yet in plain sight, if we know where to look. In this lecture, we will do exactly that. We will explore this unique group of homeopathic remedies, understanding the nature of the substance as a group, and as individually differentiated remedies. Learn how to spot the patients that would benefit from fungi remedies through presenting pathology, the way they speak, their unique view of the world and relationships in it and to it.

Understand the power of these potent yet toxic mushrooms in society from a historical perspective, as well as our common everyday interactions with them. Similarly, we will take a look at drug remedies, the underground use of elicit substances and their curative powers including psilocybin and more, which straddle both categorizations, to compare and contrast these two groups that have much in common. We will also explore and work on cases together and have a chance to participate in a mini proving.

Some of the remedies that will be covered include: multiple Agaricus remedies, MDMA, DMT, Cannabis, Bovista, Psylocybin and Ergot, Candida, Aspergillus, Cordyceps, Secale, Ustilago, Sticta and Mosses.

Joy Burlton received her Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree from the University of Western Ontario, always having had an interest in medicine. After a lot of investigation into different modalities she discovered homeopathy and found it to be a perfect fit for the type of deep healing she valued.

Homeopathy, she found was the perfect tool to aid others in experiencing this type of healing and lasting health. She then went on to achieve Honours in her four-year post-graduate Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine (OCHM).

Joy is a licensed Homeopath and has been practising in Toronto since 2007. She has enjoyed growing her practice and raising more awareness about homeopathy in Toronto and surrounding areas. Joy is part of the faculty at OCHM and is a clinical supervisor. Our students love her depth and breadth of knowledge and the many case examples she brings to her teaching.
