The mysterious world of the fungi exists both above and undergroundβhidden from view, yet in plain sight if we know where to look. In this lecture, we will do exactly that. Together, we will explore this fascinating group of remedies, delving into their nature as a collective and as individual medicines.
Fungi remedies occupy a unique space between the plant and drug kingdomsβbridging the organic and the chemical, the curative and the toxic. They are at once ancient and modern, sacred and practical, feared and revered. In this session, weβll learn how to identify patients who would benefit from a fungi remedyβthrough their presenting pathology, their patterns of speech, their relationship to the world, and their often unusual way of perceiving connection and disconnection.
Weβll also explore the historical and cultural significance of fungiβtheir powerful roles in healing, ritual, and even psychotropic experienceβand reflect on how these stories echo in the mental and emotional states we see in our patients today.
Some of the species weβll cover include Agaricus, Bovista, Psilocybe, Ergot, Candida, Aspergillus, Cordyceps, Secale, Ustilago, and Sticta. Case studies will be presented, and if time and participation allow, weβll engage in a mini proving to deepen our experiential understanding of this extraordinary group.
Bring your enthusiasm, your curiosity, and your willingness to explore the hidden realms of the fungi kingdom. This will be a full-day class accessible via Zoomβan opportunity to expand your insight into one of homeopathyβs most intriguing and transformative remedy groups.

Joy Burlton received her Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree from the University of Western Ontario, always having had an interest in medicine. After a lot of investigation into different modalities she discovered homeopathy and found it to be a perfect fit for the type of deep healing she valued.
Homeopathy, she found was the perfect tool to aid others in experiencing this type of healing and lasting health. She then went on to achieve Honours in her four-year post-graduate Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine (OCHM).
Joy is a licensed Homeopath and has been practising in Toronto since 2007. She has enjoyed growing her practice and raising more awareness about homeopathy in Toronto and surrounding areas. Joy is part of the faculty at OCHM and is a clinical supervisor. Our students love her depth and breadth of knowledge and the many case examples she brings to her teaching.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
