The Art & Science of Successful Homeopathic Prescriptions;
A 2-day Workshop on the Various Facets of
Contemporary Homeopathic Practice with Kim Elia at OCHM

Reserve your seat!   Kim Elia + OCHM = A very special lecture.

In this seminar, we will explore the use of different homeopathic software programs and how they can assist you in practice. As homeopathic software technology has become an essential component of contemporary homeopathic practice, this is a key element in making sure your patients receive the best care. Kim will be using the different homeopathic software programs currently available on the market during these lectures and will discuss the differences between them.

Please read all the way to the bottom of this page for an important message about this seminar due to the current state of affairs in Canada and the USA.

During this 2-day seminar, Kim will guide you through all the intricacies of case-taking, analysis and follow-up, with a focus on historical and contemporary methods that have a proven track record in daily practice. In addition, Kim will spend time exploring how to use different homeopathic software programs for study and when working with patients.

The course will begin with a cursory examination of Hahnemann’s approach to case-taking, as described in Aphorisms 183 through 204.

The class will then venture into the all-important topic of case analysis. We’ll investigate the nature of the totality of symptoms, that “principal or sole means whereby the disease can be made known.”

The exploration will use a variety of approaches — from Bönninghausen’s use of location, sensation, modality and concomitant symptoms, to current systems which have further advanced our understanding of this essential component of successful homeopathic practice.

We’ll address the effective use of the Repertory, including rubric selection and construction of a formal analysis.

Finally, Kim will delve deeply into the often-overlooked issue of case management and follow-up, including supervising patients with serious pathology and those on allopathic medications. Through multiple case examples, Kim will lead you through a process of discovering the significance of remedy reactions and how to best respond to them.

The subject of posology will also be discussed, with a review of different methods from the 4th, 5th and 6th editions of the Organon. With each of the cases presented, Kim will explore the reasoning for the potency and dose which were selected. You will learn specific details about how to utilize each posology method as it relates to a particular remedy reaction.

The seminar is designed to help participants to practice homeopathy more confidently and will answer many questions which prevent students and practitioners from practicing with greater certainty. Although a variety of theoretical subjects will be presented, each topic will be grounded in real cases which clarify the important lesson to be understood.

Dear Registrant/ Interested Seminar Participant,

Thank you so much for your interest in Kim Elia’s seminar at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine (OCHM) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We are juggling the realities and complexities of the current climate in both Canada and the US as we determine how to move forward with this exciting seminar.

As of now, we are planning on hosting Kim here in Toronto and offering two options: in-person attendance as well as a Zoom option for those preferring to participate from afar. If the circumstances require it, we may move the seminar to an on-line only option but will hold off on making that decision until early May.

Given the stress and strains of the times and the overwhelming interest we are receiving for this seminar, we will offer an additional discount for the first 30 registrants – a total cost of $200.

In order to register, simply call OCHM at 416-535-5995 in Toronto with your credit card payment between 10 am and 3 pm (EST) Monday-Friday, starting Thursday, March 19. If you are in a different time zone and need to calculate the time difference, www.timeanddate.com is a useful site.

We will keep you apprised of any changes in the details of the seminar as we wade through the rapidly shifting public health scenario here and abroad.

Wishing you good health!

“See” you in May!
