A 2-Class Advanced Series for Homeopaths
Fertility cases often sit at the intersection of the physical, emotional, and inherited – requiring Homeopaths to perceive patterns that extend beyond the individual sitting in front of them.
Matridonal remedies in Homeopathy offer a powerful yet often underutilized entry point into these deeper layers. Derived from substances connected to the maternal line – such as amniotic fluid, placenta, and umbilical cord – these remedies can illuminate and address themes of belonging, nourishment, separation, and early imprinting that may underlie reproductive challenges.
In this advanced two-class series, we will explore how matridonals can be skillfully integrated into homeopathic fertility care, particularly in cases that are complex, unresolved, or resistant to well-indicated remedies.
Together, we will examine how matridonal remedies can:
- Reveal and address preconception and in-utero influences
- Support patients carrying unresolved maternal-line or attachment dynamics
- Unblock cases where progress has plateaued despite accurate prescribing
- Act as a bridge between miasmatic patterns and lived experience
- Deepen case understanding beyond the constitutional picture
With a strong emphasis on clinical application, we will explore multiple homeopathic strategies in cases such as:
- Recurrent miscarriage
- Unexplained infertility
- Failed or repeated IVF cycles
- “Never well since pregnancy, birth, or miscarriage” presentations
- Help clear lingering energetic and physiological imprints from past interventions, including hormonal birth control, IVF medications, and other endocrine disruptors
- Post–birth control or post-IVF cases where cycles or vitality do not fully recover
- Complex hormonal patterns without clear pathology
- Patients with strong themes of disconnection, rejection, or early rupture in bonding
- Cases where there is a sense of being “uprooted” or unable to sustain
Drawing on clinical experience and case-based exploration, this series emphasizes discernment – when a matridonal is truly indicated, how to differentiate between remedies within this group, and how to sequence them within a broader treatment strategy.

Joy Burlton received her Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree from the University of Western Ontario, always having had an interest in medicine. After a lot of investigation into different modalities she discovered homeopathy and found it to be a perfect fit for the type of deep healing she valued.
Homeopathy, she found was the perfect tool to aid others in experiencing this type of healing and lasting health. She then went on to achieve Honours in her four-year post-graduate Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine (OCHM).
Joy is a licensed Homeopath and has been practising in Toronto since 2007. She has enjoyed growing her practice and raising more awareness about homeopathy in Toronto and surrounding areas. Joy is part of the faculty at OCHM and is a clinical supervisor. Our students love her depth and breadth of knowledge and the many case examples she brings to her teaching.
