SUMMARY:Wondrous Order: An Introduction to Michal Yakir’s “Table of Plants”
DESCRIPTION:Date/time: Saturday, May 7th, 2022 (11am – 6pm EDT) | Cost: $75 | Lecturer: Pat Deacon\nFor years, most homeopaths have practiced with a relatively small group of plant remedies. However, our understanding of plants and how to use them in the last decade has changed exponentially.\n“Wonderful Plants” by Jan Scholten of the Netherlands and “Wondrous Order” by Michal Yakir of Israel burst upon the homeopathic scene about ten years ago. They gave us tools to approach the plant kingdom, understand the plants we prescribe and expand into other, often previously undiscovered, plant remedies.\nThe two systems vary and are, in fact, based on different botanical classifications. So, practitioners can choose one or the other or, like me, use both in their case analyses.\nI am endlessly grateful to these brilliant homeopaths for gifting us with the fruit of their hard work.\nYakir’s system aligns the evolution of plant groups alongside the human development process, creating a system that helps us understand patient pathology concerning many plant remedies. Moreover, once explained, her method is intuitive for those who understand the struggle of human development in psychological and philosophical terms.\nIn our class, I will introduce Michal Yakir’s table with case examples and suggest ways of using her classification system in your practice. I will also provide a short comparison with Scholten’s system, which you can choose to study in-depth the next day.\nRESOURCES:\nThe only resources for this class are Michal Yakir’s book “Wondrous Plants” and her handy laminated chart of the “Table of Plants.” I believe Riverdale is carrying these two items. If not, they are available from Europe or the U.K. from one of these suppliers:\n1). https://www.narayana-verlag.com/Wondrous-Order-Michal-Yakir/b138\n2). https://www.emryss.com/wondrous-order-the-table-of-plants.html\n3). https://minervabooks.co.uk/index.php?route=product/manufacturer/info&manufacturer_id=1152\n4). https://www.homeopathicbooks.com/\n———-\nAn additional book for those who want to delve further into this system is:\nhttps://www.homeopathicbooks.com/product/flowering-plants-annette-sneevliet/\nAnnette Sneevliet combines Yakir’s Table with the Periodic System (added by Mahesh Gandhi), combined with Sankaran’s “ Sensations.” I recommend becoming very familiar with Yakir’s system on its own before taking this next step.\nTO REGISTER, PLEASE CLICK HERE\n
